I have taught yoga for 45 years and have been a yoga therapist for 40 years. I continue to teach regular classes both on zoom and in person in the Scottish Borders.
I co-organised a residential yoga therapy programme in Girton college, Cambridge in 1985 when my teacher Dr B P Pillai and his wife came to the UK. The results were written up in the Journal of Complementary Medicine. This then led to the creation of the Yoga Culture and Therapy Foundation which organised many yoga therapy events and workshops in London and Devon in the late 80s/early 90s.
I tutored on Yoga Scotland’s Foundation Course from 2002 – 2017 and was an occasional visiting tutor on their Teacher Training courses.
Between 2013 – 2023 I was director, co-founder and main tutor of the Scottish School of Yoga Therapy (SSYT).
SSYT continues to offer training courses for qualified yoga teachers. More information: www.scottishschoolofyogatherapy.co.uk
