Yoga Retreats

Sadly, I cannot offer any retreats at the moment in Spain. I have such wonderful memories of the week long retreats of kriyas, asana, pranayama, meditation and mantra in the beautiful retreat centre, Hidden Paradise. Set in the southern Sierra Nevada, over 1000 metres above sea level. Stillness, silence and inner reflection was encouraged throughout the week, as well as times of laughter and sharing with most afternoons available for 1:1 sessions to discuss any aspects of individual process/practice.

Julia who runs the centre offered the warmest of hospitality. Rupert had created the beauty and stillness of Hidden Paradise. Julia and her team provided  delicious, nutritious, freshly prepared vegetarian meals during our week’s stay. Much of the produce is from the centre’s organic gardens. There is great warmth, love and friendship and we received deep nourishment on all levels.

The centre itself offers spectacular views of the mountains and a view towards the Mediterranean Sea. Accommodation is either within the main house or in smaller buildings and tree houses. Single occupancy rooms are available for a supplement.

The entire centre is solar powered and water is from a nearby spring. The two yoga shalas are beautifully crafted circular wooden spaces with an amazing views down the valley towards the sea. There is a heated swimming pool, a wood fired sauna and a small library of books. Massage therapists can be arranged if required.

Retreats included a guided group walk and the opportunity for local walks into the Sierra Nevada National Park, to the nearby village of Canar and to the nearest town of Orgiva.
